One thing is never surprising: the devil never gives up in his efforts to destroy the church. However, when the Lord Jesus returns in glory, the devil will have no choice but to surrender as he is thrown into the lake of fire along with all his demons and those who followed him!

Not all heterodox positions have the same impact. So for instance, if one believes in the inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible but holds to some heterodox postion, it may not be nearly as bad as one who holds to a heterodox position while at the same time doing so by denying the Word. They do not conceed to the Word its authority. There is nothing good with this women's ordination route. It is an abducation of Scripture not just a misunderstanding of it in Lutheran churches.

If held in ignorance, yes. It may be that someone who is otherwise orthodox may ignorantly hold a heterodox view on something, but he should be willing to be corrected. If he stubbornly maintains his heterodox belief in spite of correction and teaching, then he ultimately overthrows the Word even though he confesses its authority and inerrancy. He then becomes heterodox.

This continues to show me we must reverse the allowance of female voting in our congregations and synod broadly.
