An honest, objective assessment does not need to present an alternative in order to be valid and useful. Alternatives can certainly be offered, but there is nothing untoward or uncharitable in simply and clearly presenting the critical assessment of either organizations or leaders.
I would count myself among the confessional party of the LCMS. I spend more than a few hours a month listening to, among others, Pastor Ahlman and Pastor Zehnder'a videos and podcasts. I would categorize these as from the other, missional, side. I'm not hate listening but considering their approaches, guest commentary and opinions. They are well produced, and they interview interesting people, present company included.
I am not endorsing their opinions, but my worldview remains intact even after exposure to them. I believe the same can be said about your opinions in the site you produced. In this information age, I will always be behind the people who are honest and want to cut through the noise with clarity and conviction.
Thank you for bringing clarity and conviction! God's peace.
Had one of the "progressive" guys put forth this tool, I'd be appreciative of it and use it. I can ignore editorials...however, it might contain something I hadn't thought of already. Pretty closed-minded to condemn it if you ask me. But open to the atheist apparently.
What specifically is uncharitable?

A little bit of introspection is required when your opinions align with the atheist in the room and not the clergy, no?
Amen to that!
That was my first thought as well.
I'd have left that part out if I were him lol. That "evangelism" fad of becoming what unbelievers like proved itself dead in the 90s.
Well done! Thank you both for you faithful and kind efforts.
Thank you, Debra.
