The United States District Court for the Western District of Texas has dismissed the LCMS's request to have its dispute with CTX heard in a Federal Court.
Well, next stop is the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, assuming a settlement isn't reached. I'm not familiar with this area of law (and am also not a lawyer, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt), so no idea how it'll shake out there. If University wins there, the Supreme Court hears vanishingly few cases, so it'll most likely go to the state courts at that point to get fought out on the merits, if the University loses back to the district court.
What in anyone's estimation does this mean in terms of where the case is headed?

Thanks - maybe somehow some way there's a settlement stuck in there to be made.
God Bless CTX. They’re walking the walk. Keep President Kirk in your prayers.
