I would have thought IssuesEtc would have been higher, but they may be ranked higher on iTunes or Spotify than YouTube. Congratulations to OTL. I listen every week.

Hopefully A Brief History of Power with Pastor's Adam Koontz and Willie Grills is considered

Ad Crucem News's avatar

It is in the media matrix. Unfortunately, there is no reliable central clearing service for podcast metrics.

Thanks, Pastor. I will add you to the ranking shortly.

Banned Books has been included and is ranked at 31/42 with an index score of 90.

Thank you for sharing this! As a new Lutheran, I found several of these searching on my own. Having a list is great! I’m off to subscribe!

And congratulations to The Cloud! Pastor Buchs is my pastor. We are so grateful for his teaching.

This methodology seems to massively penalize years active; it's a denominator in almost everything.

Ad Crucem News's avatar

That is true, but we add a "gravitas" adjustment that boosts older channels relative to younger ones.

eaci's avatar

I saw. I maintain my criticism.

The smoothed gravitas value doesn't come close to accounting for the O(n^2) penalty level.

Ad Crucem News's avatar

Thanks, I'll take another look at the formula

Ad Crucem News's avatar

The real penalty is 1/Y from momentum + a log shaving from engagement, but not the quadratic implication of O(n²). Nevertheless, your criticism is intuitively correct because penalties cumulate across both axes. So, I am going to uncap gravitas and drop years from engagement, which will give the greybeards their due.

You are missing The Lutheran Kantor Project: https://www.youtube.com/@TheLutheranKantorProject

Ad Crucem News's avatar

We will add that. Thanks

Would humbly recommend adding https://www.youtube.com/@MenWhoUnderstoodtheTimes , a mix of WELS pastors and laymen talking about contemporary issues (also distributed on substack)

Ad Crucem News's avatar

Thanks, will add

Do you have something similar for other platforms, like Spotify? I listen through Spotify far more than YouTube.

Ad Crucem News's avatar

Unfortunately, there is no freely available podcast measurement service.

All your readers should go and subscribe to all of these channels. That's a wonderful way to support the work that these guys are all doing.

Before next year, you should also add Jeff Windoloski, 'In the Lutheran Tradition'. He is very active on YouTube and records organ improvisations and renditions of many hymns in LSB: https://www.youtube.com/@JeffWindoloski

We will be doing monthly updates going forward and will add Jeff’s channel shortly.

Lutheran Warbler? She hasn’t posted any new content to her YouTube channel in 6 years.

Fighting for the Faith is sliding in the ratings? Given that Chris Rosebrough decided to lecture his fans nonstop about the Christian Nationalism boogeyman (the dozen Stone Choir followers) and also take sides in the Candace Owens versus Erika Kirk dispute, it is no surprise that many followers turned away. I agree with Rosebrough that it’s not “the Jews.” If pastor Rosebrough wishes to wade into political debates, why doesn’t he correctly identify the globalist elites as the cause for so many of our problems?

Compared to the glory days of hosting Worldview Everlasting and then multiple KFUO podcasts, Rev. Fisk seems to have retreated into oblivion. What a shame.

Not on YouTube and still more active on Facebook/Instagram but consider adding the Kyrie Eleison Substack to the media matrix. Will be adding new content there in the next few months.

Noted, thanks and will do so.

I appreciate the new methodology.
