Ad Crucem at the ACELC's "Walking Together: Next Steps" Conference
Join us at the ACELC conference in Lincoln, NE this June 16-17, 2026.
The Association of Confessing Evangelical Lutheran Congregations (ACELC) will hold its 2026 conference, Walking Together: Next Steps, on June 16–17 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska, and Ad Crucem will participate via the speaker roster and with an exhibit booth.
The conference addresses questions at the intersection of confessional integrity, institutional accountability, and ecclesial governance: how does a synod maintain its doctrinal commitments amid institutional strain, and what does faithful reform look like in practice? These are precisely the questions Ad Crucem News has been investigating in depth.
Tim Wood will present on church discipline and a “judiciary” in the LCMS, examining constructive pathways toward institutional reform within the synodical structure. He is overshadowed by a distinguished lineup that includes:
Rev. Dr. James Lee (Concordia University, Chicago);
Rev. Dr. Gifford Grobien (Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne);
Rev. Bryan Stecker (host of On the Line); and
Banquet speaker Rev. Scott Adle.
If you are a Lutheran interested in how the LCMS is navigating its current governance challenges, this conference is worth your time.
Registration and hotel information are available at acelc.net/wal. The conference hotel is the Residence Inn in Lincoln at $144/night.
