Why is Our Country at War?
America is at a dangerous moment for a provocation intended to drag our sons and daughters to their deaths in another pointless foreign war. Christian voices must be raised to oppose escalation.
The title of this article alludes to Charles A. Lindbergh’s 1917 monograph, Why is Your Country at War?1 In it, Lindbergh, father of the namesake American aviation genius, argued that the US entered WWI due to the manipulations and greed of the “Money Trust,”2 an insider collection of speculators and big business interests. He believed those interests contrived to engineer circumstances3 that would inevitably result in an act of war against America. Their motivation was to safeguard their financial interests in Europe and profit from a more significant and prolonged conflict. He highlighted the tremendous “shift of wealth from the toilers to the speculators” in a short period to underscore the power of the Money Trust.4
The same sinister interests propelled the US to war with the Axis Powers within a quarter century of the Great War’s devastation, and America faces a similar risk now with the Russia-Ukraine war. We are already far too deeply embroiled in a conflict our transnational aristocracy stoked the fires for, and now that the Trump administration is pressing for a ceasefire, the Ukrainians and EU (with Canada) are signaling every intention of creating a casus belli that will cause American men and women to die for alien interests that despise them.
“The US will have to send their sons and daughters exactly the same way as we are sent in their sons and daughters to war. And they will have to fight because it's nature that we're talking about and they will be dying.” Feb. 24, 2023, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“But you have nice ocean and don't feel now, but you will feel it in the future." Zelenskyy, Feb. 28, 2025.
Until now, NATO’s public involvement in the war has been to provide material, communications, strategy, targeting, training, and mercenaries. However, NATO’s clandestine involvement certainly involves its soldiers in combat roles, at least indirectly, since high-value weapons systems (e.g., HIMARS) cannot operate without them.
Consequently, the orchestrated provocation triggers NATO’s Article 5 requirement for collective defense. Ukraine is not a member of NATO, but the EU, Britain, and Canada are openly stating an intention to place their soldiers in the country for open combat with Russia and to keep funding the bloodshed that has taken perhaps a million lives already. When NATO troops start taking casualties, we will hear squeals of delight demanding America’s direct involvement under Article 5.
The situation is too reminiscent of the dispute over Danzig that ignited uncontrollably on September 1, 1939. All of it was entirely avoidable. Zelenskyy may as well be the Czech instigator and agitator Edvard Beneš.
Reminder: joining mercenary outfits in Ukraine is unregulated. Anyone and everyone is welcome to go, fight, and die.
The evidence for what will be attempted comes from the horse’s mouth. You will hear only a deep desire to continue the war. The warmonger precondition for peace is a “durable and sustainable solution,” which is code for the dismemberment of Russia and Putin's exile. There is no willingness to concede or compromise on anything, which is extremely dangerous because it will cause escalation to a nuclear threshold.

The only rational response is radical de-escalation. The US must warn that it will withdraw from NATO if EU and Canadian troops engage Russian soldiers in Ukraine. If they persist, then EU leaders must be sanctioned, and all EU assets frozen in the US. Ignore the propaganda that will come at you for preferring peace over war.
The US has no legitimate business in Ukraine. It has not had any legitimate business propping up the EU and NATO for over thirty years. When the US can feed, clothe, and house all its own citizens and prevent 100,000 people a year from dying of overdoses from drugs pouring over our open borders, then it can get back into dreaming about foreign policy adventurism and imperialism. It won’t be soon for our bankrupt country that refuses to give up the credit card.5
As citizens of Heaven and the United States, we have every right, duty, and obligation to demand an end to our involvement in other people’s economic, ethnic, and religious feuds. Every entanglement erodes American sovereignty, and the slippery slope has delivered us into the clutches of a mad globalist elite that paved the road from the Espionage Act of 1917 to the Patriot Act of 2001.
Great evils are taking place in Ukraine in the name of God and democracy. Don’t let your family get fed into the meat grinder by politicians foaming with Satanic bloodlust. Enough already.

In 1918, using the Comstock laws, federal agents destroyed the printing plates for Lindbergh’s 1913 Banking, Currency, and the Money Trust and Why is Your Country at War? The latter was republished in 1934.
The Money Trust earned its name from controlling the country's financial resources, including bank deposits and credit. This allowed the trust to influence politicians, interest rates, and loan access, which had widespread economic impacts and encouraged reckless speculation by the Money Trust. In 2008, the Money Trust reached a new pinnacle of its power, strongarming taxpayer bailouts for its most reckless members and creating a new super speculator category, “Too Big To Fail.” Late last year, a key Money Trust member, TD Securities, was found guilty of laundering $670 million for Chinese drug cartels. It was a boy scout compared with HSBC, which laundered over $881 million for Mexico's Sinaloa and Colombia's Norte del Valle drug cartels. Many other banks have been caught doing the same thing, and senior executives continue to avoid going to jail. The companies continue to operate with all the licenses and privileges of the national banking system.
Lindbergh argued that speculators and big business interests influenced the US to arm its merchant ships even though the country was not at war. The intention was to provoke an incident that would justify going to war since it was inevitable that the belligerents in the conflict would violate US rights to free navigation of the open seas.
Fifty years before 1917, it was estimated that 98% of American citizens owned 95% of the nation’s wealth. The other 2% owned less than 5%. By 1917, it was estimated that the 2% had taken control of 60% of the wealth, leaving just 40% in the hands of the 98%. A great deal of the transfer was due to the consequences of the 1913 Federal Reserve Act.
Adding explicit debt ($26.2 trillion) and implicit obligations ($65.7 trillion) brings total federal indebtedness to $91.9 trillion, or 340% of 2023 GDP. Extending tax and spending projections to cover all current and future generations, the infinite horizon fiscal imbalance is $162.7 trillion, or 6.6% of the present value of all future GDP. "Money Trust"? "Mad globalist elite"? This is conspiracy thinking, pure and simple. Lindbergh was a Jew-hater, played footsie with the Nazis, and had three secret families while he was a married man. Sounds like his father was a crackpot, too. Russia invaded Ukraine, pure and simple. If you don't see how that's a threat to the peace of the world, you need you get on the school bus tomorrow morning, go to school, and learn some history. My father fought the Nazis in WWII. By saying the U.S. was deceived into fighting by some sinister cabal is to call him and all his buddies suckers. I don't appreciate that.
"The US has no legitimate business in Ukraine."
The Trump administration's ceasefire/peace deal involves the most business entanglement to date, as well as bodily entanglement to back it up.
The whole war was a pretense to reach this end state of investment and the need to fill the destroyed void. 2022, Putin had assurances he'd be allowed to take Kiev quietly, because he was and remains a plaything of the west. Then the money and blood could flow.
