This will likely be met with contemptuous silence or name calling the messenger. Or assurances that they’re looking into it but give them time so in the meantime please as a matter of the 8th Commandment take down your post. Rinse repeat. Forever.
Evidently they have been at a prior LCMS youth event, as well. Coming from a CoWo Evangelical background, these types of intermingling are fascinating (in the worst sense) to me.
Thanks, will take a look. At first glance, it is very odd that the LCMS invites, and CUW sponsors, a band from a church body that rejects baptismal regeneration and denies the real presence. It's hard to see how this does not end up as a unionistic problem. It's hardly salutary for our youth to be exposed to this, regardless of the talent's quality.
Yeah we need to solve this one. My district had a resolution to get Synod to look at this but it was shot down due to technicalities. I pray some other districts had better resolutions to audit all the RSOs.
So did my district (also shot down by technicalities). It sounds like there were resolutions requesting increased oversight at several district conventions, and most met with resistance based on technicalities. Ours was that specific names/examples were not listed in the resolution (which was done based on what had happened in other districts where names/examples were given, but which was criticized & used to vote down the resolutions). The socio-emotional nature of resistance to these RSO oversight resolutions (along with their inherent criticism of the existing bureaucracy) has made it almost a Catch-22 in writing & putting them forward.
Contrast the kid gloves used to handle deviant RSOs with how instantly and viciously the corporation slapped down Luther Classical College's application for RSO status.
Oh wow I had no idea it was shot down like that. Hardy (the new head of the Concordia’s) is doing a visit relatively soon so hopefully that goes in the right direction.
Yeah ours had the same thing of not including examples. Quite silly and we need to deal with this stuff but I think long term we are moving in the right direction.
An LCMS RSO promoting foster care to homosexuals and transvestites, and failing an audit is adiaphora? Take heed of Matthew 18:6.

I thought unionism was against our constitution? What say you President Maxwell?
We pray that DP Maxwell will bring this to the Council of Presidents as a general call to excise all the infections in the districts.
Can you please explore the Concordia sponsorship of Rend Collective at the upcoming youth conference? What a massive disappointment!
Never heard of Rend before or that relationship. Are you able to provide links?
