Seeking Translators for Fully Revised Edition of The Narrow Way
A second edition of this simple explanation of the church and Christian faith is now available. Can you take up the challenge to help us translate it into other languages?
The Narrow Way, published by Ad Crucem Books last year, has proved incredibly popular, with many thousands of downloads of the free version and almost one thousand purchases of the softcover and e-book versions. The book has been heavily revised and just reissued in its second edition. It remains a 5x8-inch “pocketbook " with a moderately increased page count (64).
Purchase and download options
Paperback booklet from Amazon (USD 5.75).
Free PDF download from Ad Crucem. The Narrow Way relies on a Creative Commons copyright that allows you to print and update the content for your needs as long as it’s not for commercial purposes.
The Kindle version will be available later this month.
Second Edition Updates
The writing has been streamlined in parts to make it easier for children and ESL readers to manage.
The original version had several references to our home church, Trinity Lutheran in Denver. These have been removed to make the book more generic for any confessional and liturgical church (it is unsuitable for contemporary worship congregations or those that treat the sacraments casually).
Relatedly, the page opposite the title page includes a form to add your church’s information so you can use it as a visitor or evangelism tract.
Illustrations have been added to help readers connect what they may experience and see in church with the explanatory text.
Rev. Andrew Richard from Mount Hope Lutheran Church & School in Casper, WY, has contributed a delightful chapter on education for the section on the Christian family.
Lutheran artist and Ad Crucem design collaborator Sam Novak contributed a new jacket for the book.
Contribute a Translation!
We hope to secure volunteer translators for the next phase of The Narrow Way project, which aims to achieve wider distribution and assist the global Evangelical Lutheran Church in truly walking together in fellowship.
If you have the skills and ability to contribute a high-quality translation in another language, please contact Ad Crucem. We will cover the cost of converting the translation into a print and e-book for purchase and as a free download.

Hello. I’m a native English speaker but worked professionally in Persian Farsi for eight years (2010-2018). I would never claim to be the best translator but curious if you would have any interest in my skills for a project like this one. If not, no worries.
When I downloaded the PDF from the website, it was still the first edition.
