Rev. Michael Mohr was arrested by federal agents today for alleged production of child pornography.
UPDATE:
Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) President, Rev. Matthew Harrison, announced today that Central Illinois District President Michael Mohr was arrested by federal agents (presumably the FBI) for alleged production of child pornography.
Mohr also served as a Regent for Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, representing the LCMS Council of Presidents. Mohr, a resident of Springfield, Illinois, was re-elected to a second term as district president in July 2025. He was elected to his first term in 2023.
Mohr received his Master of Divinity degree from CSL in 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, in 1993, majoring in political science with a minor in physics.
We pray for justice and God’s great mercy and peace for anyone harmed, and for repentance of anyone guilty of the allegations.
Luke 12:2-3
New King James Version
2 For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. 3 Therefore, whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
